A few years ago, my little group of friends (aka the Dork Squad) started a shared knitting blog over at Faking Sanity's Twisted Stitches blog. Over the years, a few have stopped posting all together, while others, like myself, have delved into other fiber arts. I started crocheting in 2004, knitting in 2006, dyeing yarn in 2008 and spinning in 2009. My hand-dyed yarns are also now available under the Faking Sanity label.
This summer, a friend and I moved and bought a used bookstore/cafe in Northern BC, so there hasn't been much time for crafting of any sort, let alone blogging about what little I did do. Now that we're a little more efficient in our routines, though, we've started hosting a craft night at the store, and I've started knitting, crocheting and dyeing again. The spinning will have to wait a bit - I sold my first wheel before the move, and need to make a small purchase for my new one before I can use it. At any rate, I'm looking forward to getting back into fiber arts, and thought that I'd like to blog about my artsy journey, without feeling like I'm taking over the shared blog. Hence, the Froggy Knitter blog...
